Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-22

The app push notification clauses (items, purpose, retention, and the Expo, APNs and FCM processors and transfers) take effect on 2026-10-28.

Arena Technologies Inc. ("주식회사 아레나테크놀로지스", the "Company") operates memepad (the web app at memepad.lol and the mobile app, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws.

The Service is a self-custodial application for creating and trading memecoins on the Solana blockchain. The Company does not hold or have access to your wallet private keys or funds.

1. Controller

  • Company: Arena Technologies Inc. (주식회사 아레나테크놀로지스)
  • Representative: Junho Lee
  • Business registration number: 373-86-03350
  • Address: 서울특별시 강남구 논현로79길 48-1, 2층 1108호(역삼동)
  • Contact: contact@memepad.lol

2. Purposes of Processing

We process personal information for the following purposes and will notify you in advance, and ask for consent where required, if they change.

  • Identifying members, sign-in, and creating or connecting the embedded wallet
  • Providing the Service: feeds and charts, coin creation and trading, wallet and portfolio, boosts
  • Community features: call-outs, posts, follows, and notifications (web push)
  • App push notifications (optional): graduation, price surges and large buys of coins you watch or created, and call-outs from callers you follow
  • Displaying your profile when you connect an X (Twitter) account
  • Security, prevention of fraud and abuse (including rate limiting), and incident response
  • Website usage analytics (visits, wallet connections, coin creations, first trades and community posts by acquisition channel)
  • App usage analytics (screen views, sign-ins, coin creation attempts and results, and first trades)
  • Reviewing, selecting and running partner creator program applications (providing benefits and contacting you)
  • Complying with legal obligations

memepad does not use third-party advertising trackers and does not sell personal information.

3. Information We Process and How We Collect It

  • Account and authentication: email address, or Google, Apple, or X (Twitter) account identifier (collected through our sign-in provider Privy)
  • Wallet: public wallet addresses (Solana, and Ethereum-family and Bitcoin addresses if you use the multichain wallet). We do not have access to your private keys.
  • Multichain wallet send records: sending address, transaction identifier (hash), Ethereum-family nonce or Bitcoin inputs, and outcome — kept so the same funds are never sent twice.
  • Cross-network transfer records (only if you use the feature): account identifier, sending Ethereum-family address, receiving Solana address, provider and quote details (tokens, amounts, minimum amount received, expiry), deposit transaction identifier (hash), and the arrival or refund outcome with its transaction identifier — kept so orders on the same funds never overlap and arrival can be confirmed.
  • X connection (optional): X handle, display name, and avatar
  • Profile (optional): profile image, nickname, and other information you enter
  • User-generated content: coin name, ticker, image and links; call-outs and posts
  • Web push (optional): browser push subscription (endpoint and keys)
  • App push (optional, only if you allow notifications in the app): your Expo push token and notification language (the app language setting), stored with your account (the member account your wallet is linked to). To decide who receives an alert we use your watchlist and the coins you created (by your verified wallet).
  • Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, access time, and usage records
  • News article reports (optional, only if you report one): the article, the reason, and a value derived from your IP address with a secret held on the Company's server (the IP address itself is not stored and cannot be recovered). Used only to stop the same person reporting the same article more than once.
  • Website usage statistics (sent to our analytics tool PostHog): pages visited (wallet and coin addresses masked), acquisition channel (UTM and first landing path), whether you opened sign-in and connected a wallet, opened the coin creation form, attempted a creation and its result (failure reasons only as categories such as insufficient balance) and created a coin, opened the deposit window (only which kind of screen opened it), attempted a trade and its result (failure reasons only as categories) and made a first trade, or wrote a community post, browser information, and a random per-browser identifier. Wallet addresses, transaction signatures, amounts, email addresses and IP addresses are not sent to the analytics tool.
  • App usage statistics (sent to our analytics tool PostHog): screens viewed (wallet and coin addresses masked), whether you completed sign-in, opened the coin creation screen, attempted a coin creation and its result (failure reasons only as categories such as insufficient balance), and made a first trade, operating system type and version, and a random per-install identifier. Wallet addresses, transaction signatures, amounts, email addresses, account identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA or advertising ID) and IP addresses are not sent to the analytics tool, and you are not identified.
  • On-chain activity: transactions such as trades and coin creations, which are public on the Solana network
  • Partner creator application (optional, only if you apply): activity name, public wallet address, X account, links to your channels and their approximate size, coins you launched, contact (Telegram ID or email), whether you are 19 or older, and whether and when you agreed to the guidelines and to collection. You enter these yourself in the application form (Notion).

You provide this information directly when signing up, signing in, or using features, or it is generated automatically while you use the Service.

4. Retention Period

We destroy personal information without delay once its purpose is achieved. Retention periods by item:

  • Member information (account, wallet address, profile, X connection), follows, notifications, and web push subscriptions: until you withdraw (delete your account)
  • App push tokens: deleted when you turn push notifications off in the app menu, sign out, sign in to another account on the same device, or delete your account, and when the device is confirmed to no longer receive notifications (for example, the app was deleted).
  • Community posts: on account deletion the author details (wallet address, X handle, avatar) are removed and the post body remains without an author.
  • Coin images and metadata: kept after account deletion because launched tokens reference these public files.
  • Account deletion record (sign-in provider identifier and time): kept without a fixed period to confirm the deletion
  • Access records (such as IP addresses): processed for the hosting processors' log retention period for security and abuse prevention, and kept for any longer period required by law.
  • Website and app usage statistics (PostHog): 1 year from collection
  • News article report records: deleted together with the reported article (30 days after the article's publication).
  • Partner creator application information: 1 year after the pilot (or program) ends. If you withdraw your application, it is destroyed without delay.
  • Multichain wallet send records: kept without a fixed period to prevent duplicate sends (the same information is already public on the blockchain).
  • Cross-network transfer records: quotes never used for an order are deleted one day after they expire; records of placed orders are kept without a fixed period to prevent overlapping orders and confirm arrival (deposit and arrival transactions are already public on the blockchain).
  • Transaction records subject to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce: for the periods set by that Act (payment and supply records 5 years; complaint and dispute records 3 years)

5. Destruction Procedure and Method

  • Procedure: personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is achieved. Information that must be kept by law is stored separately and destroyed when that period ends.
  • Method: electronic files are deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery. We do not keep personal information on paper.
  • Blockchain records cannot be destroyed (Section 8).

8. Blockchain Data (Public & Permanent)

Information recorded on-chain, such as wallet addresses, transaction history, and the metadata of coins you create, is public and permanent by the nature of blockchains such as Solana, Ethereum-family networks and Bitcoin and cannot be reversed or deleted. A coin's image and metadata cannot be changed or removed after launch. We do not provide this information to third parties, but anyone can read it on the blockchain.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • We use a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), sign-in session cookies, and browser storage (recovering pending transactions, referral links, coin drafts) for Service functions.
  • For website usage analytics, PostHog stores a random identifier in your browser storage (localStorage). We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
  • For app usage analytics, the app stores a random per-install identifier in your device storage. It does not read advertising identifiers, and the identifier is deleted when you turn off 'Share app usage stats' in the app menu or delete the app.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as staying signed in, may then not work.

10. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time, through account deletion in the app settings or by emailing contact@memepad.lol. We act without delay. You may also exercise these rights through a legal representative or an authorized agent. On-chain data cannot be deleted (Section 8).

11. Security Measures

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
  • Least-privilege access control and administrator authentication
  • Database row-level access control
  • No custody of wallet private keys (self-custody)

12. Privacy Officer

The following privacy officer oversees personal information processing and handles related complaints and remedies.

  • Name: Junho Lee (CEO)
  • Contact: contact@memepad.lol

13. Remedies for Infringement

To seek remedies for an infringement of your personal information, you may apply for dispute mediation or consultation with the following organizations (Korea):

  • Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee: 1833-6972, www.kopico.go.kr
  • Personal Information Infringement Report Center (KISA): 118, privacy.kisa.or.kr
  • Supreme Prosecutors' Office: 1301, www.spo.go.kr
  • Korean National Police Agency: 182, ecrm.police.go.kr

14. Age

The Service does not set a minimum age. Memecoins are highly volatile, high-risk assets.

15. Changes to This Policy

If this Policy changes, we will post the revised version here with its effective date.

16. Additional Information for Users in the EEA and the United Kingdom

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR also applies to how we process your personal data. The controller is the Company named in Section 1.

  • Legal basis — performance of our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)): sign-in and the embedded wallet, providing the Service (feeds and charts, coin creation and trading, wallet and portfolio, boosts), community features and displaying your profile.
  • Legal basis — our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): keeping the Service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, diagnosing errors (Sentry) and understanding how the Service is used (PostHog website and app usage statistics), and preventing duplicate reports of the same news article. You can object to this processing at any time; in the app, turning off 'Share app usage stats' in the menu stops app usage statistics.
  • Legal basis — your consent (Article 6(1)(a)): web and app push notifications and partner creator applications. You can withdraw consent at any time by turning notifications off or withdrawing your application; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.
  • Legal basis — compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)): records we must keep by law (Section 4).
  • Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Exercise them through account deletion in the app settings or by emailing contact@memepad.lol. We respond within one month (extendable where the law allows). Blockchain records cannot be erased or rectified by us or anyone else (Section 8).
  • Complaints: you may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work or where an alleged infringement took place.
  • International transfers: the Company is based in the Republic of Korea, for which the European Commission and the United Kingdom have made adequacy decisions. Your personal data is also processed by the processors in Sections 6 and 7, mainly in the United States; for those transfers we rely on the safeguards in each processor's data protection terms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where that processor provides them).
  • Automated decisions: we do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
  • Whether you must provide data: sign-in information is needed to create an account. Without it you can browse, but account features are unavailable.
